Hotel Policies / House Rules

(Binding for all guests)

We are pleased to welcome you and wish you a pleasant stay. Compliance with the following rules ensures the safety, comfort, and harmonious coexistence of all guests and staff. By entering the hotel and using the rooms, you acknowledge these house rules.

1. Check-in and Check-out

  • Check-in: Rooms are available from the agreed arrival time on the day of arrival. Check-in is possible 24 hours by prior arrangement.
  • Registration and ID requirement: Every guest (especially foreign nationals) is required to present a valid photo ID (identity card or passport) upon arrival and to properly complete and sign the registration form.
  • Check-out: On the day of departure, please vacate the room by 11:00 AM at the latest and return the room key/key card to reception. If the check-out time is exceeded without prior agreement, we reserve the right to charge an individual fee depending on the situation or to charge for an additional overnight stay.

2. Quiet Hours and Conduct

  • Quiet hours: From 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM, room volume must be maintained in all areas of the hotel, especially in guest rooms, hallways, and stairwells.
  • Noise disturbance: Loud music, parties, and any other form of noise that may disturb other guests are prohibited. In case of repeated violations, hotel management may terminate the contract without notice and ask the guest to leave the premises.
  • Conduct: We expect our guests to treat staff and other guests respectfully. Willful damage or severe contamination of hotel property as well as inappropriate behavior will result in immediate expulsion from the hotel.

3. Smoking and Fire Safety

  • No smoking: The entire hotel building (rooms, hallways, stairwells, public areas) is a non-smoking area. Smoking is only permitted in designated outdoor areas.
  • Violation of the smoking ban: In case of violation, a special cleaning fee of up to CHF 2500 will be charged (smoke detectors automatically alert the fire department in case of smoke or fire), and the hotel reserves the right to pass on additional costs (e.g., for fire department interventions) to the responsible guest.
  • Open flames: Lighting candles, immersion heaters, hot plates, or any other open flames or unsafe devices in the rooms is strictly prohibited for fire safety reasons.

4. Damage and Liability

  • Damage: The guest is liable for any damage to hotel furnishings and property caused negligently or intentionally by themselves or their visitors. This also applies to excessive soiling.
  • Loss: The hotel is liable for the loss of valuables in accordance with legal regulations. No liability is assumed for valuables not stored in the in-room safes or at the reception.

5. Visitors and Room Occupancy

  • Visitors: Access to guest rooms is only permitted to persons registered and paid for at reception. Visitors not registered at the hotel must be reported to reception. Hotel management may deny visitor access at any time.
  • Overnight stays by third parties: Overnight stays by unregistered persons are strictly prohibited. In case of violation, the full overnight rate for the additional person(s) will be charged.
  • Room occupancy: The maximum occupancy of the booked room must not be exceeded.

6. Miscellaneous

  • Pets: Pets are only allowed by prior arrangement and for an additional fee. They are not permitted in breakfast rooms or other designated areas.
  • Taking food/drinks: Taking food and drinks from the breakfast buffet is not permitted. For the use of brought-in food and drinks in public hotel areas, please consult hotel management.
  • Room key: The room key (or card) must not be passed on to third parties. In case of loss, a replacement fee of CHF 10 will be charged for reprogramming the locking system.
